Current Governing Documents

Our governing documents are a legal set of records that control the operation of our Property Owners’ Association. They are in PDF format and can be downloaded. You can also search them for particular words or topics by pressing Control F (for PC) or Command F (for Mac) to open the Search bar.

Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&Rs)

Our CCRs, or declarations, are the highest level of governing documents. They are the comprehensive homeowner regulations of our POA. They cover our structure, restrictions and obligations, and an explanation of our rights and responsibilities as members of our community.

Articles of Incorporation

Our Articles of Incorporation define our Barton Creek Lakeside community; make our property owners mandatory members of our POA; create our POA as a nonprofit corporation; establish our POA’s authority to govern; and define the composition of our POA board, including the president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary and their roles.

Bylaws

Our bylaws describe our POA’s overall management, operations, policies, and board responsibilities.

Policies and Practices

These define specific ways we manage our community. They include such things as our Architectural Standards and how we handle financial approvals, security, procurement, violations and fines, hearings, and the like. These must be consistent with our CCRs and comply with Federal and state laws.
